There’s a bbq place at The Atrium mall that Ilonggos love and it’s called Floyd’s Famous BBQ. Unlike other popular barbeque restaurants, they serve many other non-barbeque dishes as well – and they have a chef who once worked at Boracay. I was fortunate enough to be invited to have lunch there with some bloggers a couple of weeks ago.
Floyd’s Famous BBQ offers a wide variety of barbeque dine-in options including their famous chicken bbq which is very Pinoy but a cross between the “inasal” and the aristocrat chicken. They also have pork chops that are served in Oriental brown sauce. Their pork belly, pork bbq and crispy pata are also some of the best sellers. We also got to taste the sizzling squid. We ended the hearty meal with a Bibingkang Malagkit and Pandan Macapuno Crema. I love the Bibingkang Malagkit because it’s not too sweet and it kinda melts in the mouth.
If you’ve tried it, you know what I’m talking about and if you haven’t, I suggest you visit them soon, your tastebuds will thank you for it. They are located right in the heart of the city. For more detailed information please check out this blog post by Jorp of Flavours of Iloilo as well. More of my photos can be found on my Picasa web album so please feel free to check them out.
